Charles Bo Grant

I will be honest and say that I had missed Charles Bo Grant's Steppin' Out CD from 2003 and was knocked by the track The Things You Do which Mick O'Donnell played on Soul Discovery.

Charles Bo Grant, born in Mobile Ala. his first musical inspiration came from the gospel soul feeling. He was inspired by some of the blues greats, such as Johnny (Mobile) Williams of the Drifters, Wilson Pickett, Bobby Bland, Nat King Cole, Fats Domino, Chubby Checker, Sam and Dave, The Righteous Brothers and many others.

Charles has traveled and performed in many parts of the world, such as France, Germany, Canada and distant countries as Australia, Turkey, China and Japan.

Charles has shared the stage with some of the legendary greats including; Fats Domino, David Ruffin and Eddie Kendricks, The Drifters, The Coasters, Little Anthony, BB King, Ben E. King, Mary Wilson, Percy Sledge, The Temptations, Chubby Checker and many more.

Charles was a member of the World Famous Platters formed by the late great Paul Robi until 1996.
