National Quartet Month 2008!!!

Malaco Records have been in touch to inform of their support for Yes! Quartet:

The Malaco Music Group continues its commitment and says “YES! QUARTET.”

February, 2008 National Quartet Month is going to be as exciting as ever with the national servicing of the full length CD’s from the two 2008 Stellar Award Nominees Slim & The Supreme Angels featuring Slim’s classic hit “Death & The Beautiful Lady” & The Pilgrim Jubilees along with Spencer Taylor & The Highway QC’s featuring a re-recording of the classic hit that was led by late phenomenal Johnnie Taylor “Somewhere To Lay My Head.” So there is plenty of great Quartet Gospel music available to program this month.

The Malaco Music was recently a major sponsor at the American Gospel Quartet Convention that had taken place on last week in Birmingham, AL where our 2008 National Quartet Month Celebration was officially launched hosting the announcer’s luncheon and an exclusive musical showcase featuring some exciting news to the world of Quartet and the Gospel community, which will be announced over the next coming weeks. So Get Ready!!!

Malaco has always been the leader and home of Quartet music leading back to their first ever Gospel artist signing, the number one (1) group of that era, The Jackson Sothernaires. Since that time, other Quartet groups followed reaching legendary status such as The Sensational Nightingales, The Original Soul Stirrers, Willie Banks & The Messengers, Robert Blair & The Fantastic Violinaires, &Willie Neal Johnson & The Gospel Keynotes.

So spread the word… It’s National Quartet Month 2008!!!
