Sharon McMahan

I have been meaning to mention Sharon McMahan's CD since I first came across it last year!!!

Sharon McMahan is delighted to take this opportunity to share her music.Born in Sevierville, Tennessee, raised and musically disciplined in Detroit, Michigan, Sharon is a talented lady who has kept a rather low profile while racking up a series of impressive accomplishments. As a prolific songwriter, she has been active in her field since the age of twelve. Her songs have been recorded by Barbara Lewis, Gracie Darnell, Deon Jackson, Johnnie Mae Matthews, the London based group, The Searchers, The Londonderry Strings Orchestra, The Three Degrees and Hall of Fame inductees, Mavis Staples, Etta James and jazz great Benny Golson. Sharon was signed as a writer/artist to Columbia Records by Clive Davis.She has penned lyrics for other composers and worked as a lyricist for an NBC-TV television mini-series production. Sharon has also written and performed radio promos.Sharon’s new CD is nothing less than a musical breath of smooth, soulful fresh air.
